Laboratory experiment on the influence of the dynamic exposure to light on productivity

Whilst most studies on the physiological impact of light stimuli focus on the circadian rhythm, the effect of dynamic light rhythms in second and minute ranges has hardly ever been scientifically examined.

The research project, which was conducted between January and March 2011 with 29 participants, therefore focused on the evaluation of production-related and physiological influences of relatively fast brightness dynamics (duration period: 10 seconds with variation in brightness of between 500 and 680 lux and 30 minutes with a variation in brightness of between 500 and 2000 lux).
